Founded in 1988, Concerned Citizens is a Community Building Initiative dedicated to the social and economic development of the residents of Whitesboro, NJ. Conceived as an enduring grassroots organization, Concerned Citizens is committed to building a strong, vibrant community through local organization and development. CCWI Partners with O.C.E.A.N., Inc. to provide food to those in need via the CCWI Vera Smith Community Food Pantry which is open weekly ( accept Holidays) Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 9am-12Noon.

Solutions To End Poverty Soon (STEPS) implements the Being a Responsible Tenant Program with instructional strategies focused on early intervention and preservation of affordable housing. Ocean County participants are trained to maintain safe, stable and affordable housing, ending the cycle of evictions allowing them to live productively and independently in their communities.
