Cape Assist Summer Kids Art Resource and Education (KARE) Camp in Cape May County, New Jersey

Updated: Feb 1

The Cape Assist Summer Kids Art Resource and Education (K.A.R.E.) Camp was provided this summer for children in grades K-1st at the Cape Assist building in Wildwood. The camp helped develop personal and social skills necessary for the children to make informed choices in their lives.

K.A.R.E. helped to fill several key needs for Wildwood families by providing a structured day that included fun summertime actives combined with important resiliency building education. The hours of the program helped to ensure the youth were able to receive two healthy meals each day. Overall, the Camp helped to ensure that these often underserved and at-risk youth were able to take part in summer activities that their families may not have been able to afford or provide otherwise. Fun Fact: This program was a direct response to the feedback from families in Wildwood on what would be most helpful to them and their children.

The Cape Assist ‘KARE Summer Camp’ is funded in part by Ocean Inc. through a grant from New Jersey Department of Community Affairs.
