An O.C.E.A.N., Inc. In-Service staff meeting was conducted today at Ideal Institute of Technology, our community partner in Pleasantville, NJ. Special thanks to Ren Parikh, founder of Ideal Institute of Technology for hosting the meeting and "We Are AC" food truck owners, initially trained by Ideal Institute of Technology, who provided a delicious lunch for staff during the meeting.
The agenda for the day included a welcoming introduction and discussion including agency/staff expectations by Tamica Mickle, O.C.E.A.N., Inc. President/CEO. Other presentations throughout the day included a very interactive ‘Empathy Fatigue and Wellness’ presentation by our very own Dr. Kimberly Honnick, Human Trafficking Prevention by Sarah from the Set-Me-Free Project and the ‘End of Year Wellness Challenge’ presented by Leslie Perna and Alicia Ramos of Human Resources.
O.C.E.A.N., Inc. staff Ruben Solorzano was presented with a gift in appreciation for all his hard work and Pat Vanderleeuw of Home Energy was also presented with a gift as we give her our best wishes in her retirement.
Former O.C.E.A.N., Inc. President/CEO Channell Wilkins was presented with farewell gifts provided by agency staff. Retirement is a milestone that signifies the peak of a rewarding career and the beginning of a new chapter in life – one we hope is even more rewarding and fruitful. Best wishes Channell in the next phase of your life.
Thank you to Tamica who provided homemade brownies and presented it to all agency staff.
