OCEAN, Inc. provided Program Outreach at the 6th Annual Causeway CARes 'Summer in Winter Carnival' at the Jersey Shore

Writer: cfahimcfahim

With 630 guests in attendance, OCEAN Inc. provided outreach at the 6th Annual Causeway CARes 'Summer in Winter Carnival' held on 2/16/25 from 12-4 pm at the Holiday Inn in Manahawkin, NJ. Guests enjoyed games, prizes, face painters, DJ, food and more while having the chance to meet with local community agencies. Throughout the event, OCEAN, Inc. provided program material for participating families.

Hosted by David Wintrode, Founder and President of the Causeway Family of Dealerships, the event and its location were perfect for OCEAN, Inc. to provide program outreach and employment opportunities required by residents in the southern part of Ocean County.

Causeway’s "Summer in Winter Carnival" event allows 30 Ocean County non-profits the ability to showcase their programs and services required by those in need. Under the ‘Big Top’ event, OCEAN, Inc. is able to streamline the outreach effort by sharing agency material while networking with other non-profits and decision makers including Family Promise, St. Francis, the Maximilian Foundation, Ocean County College, Ocean Partnership for Children, United Way, Liv Well Healthcare, Ocean County Meals on Wheels, Fulfill, Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore, Ocean County Library and many other non-profits.

Mike Gesicki of the Cincinnati Bengals was not able to attend this year. However, throughout the carnival, Causeway CARes staff raffled off his autographed helmet, cleats and game gloves. All participating non-profit agencies in attendance were entered in a raffle-pot cash drawing in which proceeds are ultimately won/split between three (3) winning agencies.

Mike Gesicki is the tight end for the Cincinnati Bengals in the National Football League. He played high school football at Southern Regional High School in Manahawkin, NJ, college football at Penn State and is the record holder for most receptions by a tight end in Penn State history. He was drafted in the second round of the 2018 NFL draft by the Miami Dolphins.

OCEAN, Inc. provides continuous outreach throughout the region to ensure households are made aware of all assistance available. It’s critical since so many individuals and families require services and oftentimes do not know where to turn for help.
