The Waterford platform has two programs:
Smart Start and Early Reading and Math/Science.
These programs are designed to help preschoolers learn core
Early Reading and Math skills at their own pace.
The children will start with Smart Start, a linear program designed to help them learn necessary early literacy skills. After they complete Smart Start, they will move on to the Early Reading and Math programs. The Waterford platform is positive screen time and offers research-based instruction to support your child’s learning. It is best not to help the children and have them work at their own pace. Please allow them to work independently.

If your child is going to Kindergarten in September 2025, he/she will have access to Waterford through August 15, 2025. Access will continue if your child is returning to O.C.E.A.N., Inc. Head Start in September 2025.

Step-by-step guide on how to set up and use the Waterford Mentor app:
Step 1: Download the App
Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) on your device.
Search for Waterford Mentor by Waterford Institute.
Tap Download and install the app.
Step 2: Sign In
Open the Waterford Mentor app.
Choose a sign-in method:
Apple ID
Google Account
Email and Password
Follow the prompts to complete the login process.
Step 3: Enter the Mentor Code
Locate the Mentor Code assigned to your child.
Enter the Mentor Code in the designated field within the app.
Confirm the code to link your account to your child’s progress.
Step 4: Use the Program
Track Progress – Monitor your child’s learning journey.
Access Resources – Find additional educational materials.
Engage with SMART START – Utilize structured learning recommendations.
Step 5: Follow Usage Recommendations
Encourage your child to use the program for:
15 minutes a day
At least 5 days a week
